The core aim of the project was to create a pool of trained professionals in the government media and the civil society equipped with a robust understanding of the issues of security threats of the region, namely radicalization and extremism.


A training was delivered with the involvement of international experts, designed to include the analysis of the concepts of radicalization and extremism.

Also, the comparative case study developed joint policy documents providing an in-depth analysis. Roundtable discussions were held. GCSD organized a conference on “Counter Violence Extremism and Process of Deradicalization in Georgia and Azerbaijan”.
