The project - "Sensitize Multi-Sector Stakeholders in South Caucasus on ACW Proliferation Risks and Challenges" - is implemented by GCSD with the support of the US State Department.
The goal of the project is to raise awareness of the risks and challenges associated with the proliferation of Advanced Conventional Weapons (ACW) and their components in the South Caucasus region. This initiative is part of a broader regional effort to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences on challenges among sectors at risk.
The project involves working with various private and public sector representatives, namely: financial institutions, ministries, business associations, the National Bank, the State Security Service, the National Security Council, logistics companies, higher educational institutions, media and civil society organizations.
The activities envisaged by the project include - trainings on preventing the proliferation of ACW and its components in Georgia and Azerbaijan through logistical and financial sectors, trainings for media representatives in Georgia and Azerbaijan regarding the non-proliferation of ACW and its components, operational manuals for the logistics and financial sectors in Georgia and Azerbaijan to reduce the risk of ACW proliferation.
Local and international experts will be involved in the project implementation process, together with the GCSD team
