GCSD ISSUED A FOURTH SUB-GRANT
The Georgian Center for Strategy and Development (GCSD) has awarded its fourth sub-grant.
Our partner became the Tbilisi Photo Festival and the Tbilisi Museum of Photography and Multimedia. Tbilisi Photo Festival (TPF) is the first organisation in the South Caucasus region that uses documentary photography as an alternative medium for initiating civic education and socio-cultural change.
The project, which will be implemented by the Tbilisi Photo Festival and the Tbilisi Museum of Photography and Multimedia over the next year, executes the establishment of a visual education center in the village of Jokolo in the Pankisi Gorge.
Innovative and alternative educational methods operate to strengthen the ethnic and religious groups living in the Pankisi Valley.
The project envisages the creation of a media library based on Nazy’s Guesthouse, which will combine a book library and a multimedia archive. An educational course “Fabrika of Images” will be held on the basis of the Media Library, which will be led by leading Georgian and international experts.
The local partner of the project is Nazy’s Guesthouse.
