PROJECT - "Towards Better Understanding of NATO- Phase II"

The Georgian Center for Strategy and Development launches a new project - "Towards Better Understanding of NATO - Phase II". The main aim of the project is to introduce to youth and to different groups of society, NATO-related actual topics, including achievements of NATO-Georgia partnership and to foster discussion on them.

The project will encompass following activities. Firstly, NATO Youth Academy will be organized, which will have a variety of theoretical and practical activity pillars under its umbrella. It will provide young people in Georgia with an opportunity to find out more about NATO, about prevalent security challenges to global peace and security and advance their practical skills in leadership, negotiation, communication and so on. Secondly, a series of NATO Talks, will be organized and streamed online via the Facebook page of GCSD with the engagement of prominent experts and officials. Thirdly, the student research contest will be launched, encouraging students to conduct research on NATO and on related security topics. Simultaneously, experts will develop opinion papers on security related issues. Their findings will be published in an online publication. Lastly, a public reception will be organized where representatives of various groups from Georgian society will be invited to learn about NATO’s role in supporting Georgia and its defence and security.

The project is implemented by GCSD with the financial support of the NATO Public Diplomacy Division.
